Recently, there have been several protests under the name 'Black Lives Matter'. This is one of the many protests to equalise race, and end white supremacy. But was this latest effort in vain, or will people change?

Throughout history, there have been numerous events which see white racists overpower certain black races. It wasn't until as late as the 1960s, when Martin Luther King made his famous speech that racism was starting to be abolished. People should be seen as equal, regardless of their race. However, not everyone agreed.

Despite the various efforts at getting the black voice across, there has continued to be substantial amounts of racism in many parts of the world. White people are seen as being superior, and often black people are treated as if they are below them. This does not mean everywhere is like that, as in most places racism is fairly minimal. For example, London is known to have a wide variety of ethnicities and backgrounds living within it's boundaries, in mostly peace. But the same cannot be said for other parts of the world. In these places, it seems to be where protests such as the BLM movement seem to make no impact. For now, racism and the equality of all people seems to be scrutinized by many, and that is why the movement may be in vain. For there will always be a small part of racism that lives on.

To conclude, despite there being a grim outlook for the movement, it does show the amount of kindness amongst the globe. As all kinds of people gather together to earn equality, itshows the true nature of the compassion that runs through the community. In the end, kindness will earn the equality that the movement longs for.
