As an experienced weaboo (a non-Japanese person obssessed with anime and Japan), the spring season of April has come round again. A season renowned for producing some of the best anime known to fans, such as Violet Evergarden, Psycho-Pass and Demon Slayer; every anime fan waits impatiently for the spring season to return with some never-ending classics or whirlwind new romances. And that season is back again.

This season, three anime are particularly attractive; Fruits Basket (season 2), Food Wars (Season 5) and the Demon Slayer. With these three mainstream anime taking the fanbase by storm, they all follow incredibly different genres and storylines with one thing in common; they've attracted at least a billion people between them.

I'm going to focus on Fruits Basket, for it is the anime I am most looking forward to this season and is possibly the most underrated out of the three. The story follows Tohru Honda who lives with three Zodiac clan members, cursed with the ability to turn into an animal when hugged by the opposite sex. The story follows an innocent Tohru uncovering this family's dark secrets in her desperate attempt to save her friends and (possible) crush from the curse. What makes the story so beautiful is the dedication we see from each of the characters, all of them growing so attached to one another to the point where they'd easily sacrifice themselves for each-other. The story makes you cry tears of joy and pain simultaneously, a feat achieved by few series overall.

I'd reccomend a watch; since we're all locked up anyway!
