On the 5th of November, a cold dark afternoon at DGGS; Passmores Academy girls football team played against hosts Dartford grammar school for girls.

The match came off to a rocky start, a freekick almost immediately given to the opposing side, (fortunately for DGGS) missed. Shortly into the game Passmores academy number 7 scored with a forceful kick, with the help of the team as the ball was passed tactfully. Although DGGS was one player down, this did not seem to faze them as the team bounced back as Leigh-Ann Hamblyn scored a goal. However, at first glance there was confusion at whether it went in or not, quickly confirmed by the referee. Now almost half time the score was 2:1 Passmores winning. After, an intense fluctuation between both teams, Star player, from Passmores Number 7 scored yet again another goal. Shockingly, a few minutes later Number 9 gained another point for Passmores.

As half time hit, both teams huddled revisiting different tactics and swapping players off and on. The pressure seemingly on, as they knew they were playing for the English championships. Minutes flew past, as not much action happened until number 15 from Passmores became slightly aggressive, shown through the friction between other players and powerful kicks soaring high above the goal. Not long following, Number 9 was injured after a clash between Precious Duru from DGGS on the tackle for the ball. Subsequently, adding to the tension in the atmosphere, Emma Hillier scored a goal for DGGS (a relief for them).

Overall, as the match ended, both teams shook hands and DGGS congratulated Passmores Academy on their win of 3:2.
