As exam season is almost upon us, what have you been doing to revise? Have you reached a point where things are getting boring, slow and just plain bothersome? Well I’ve decided to compile a list of some of the most useful resources that I’ve been using over the past year; hopefully it’ll be helpful for you too!

Firstly, there is a lot of content in GCSE and A-level courses. How do you know if you’ve missed something out? Easy. There’s a specification. These can be found online and are easily accessible for students and teachers alike. I like to use the specifications as a quasi-checklist. This helps me to cover all the material effectively without leaving important details out. Now in order to learn the content itself, class notes are a great starting point. I also like to go back and add to my notes using textbooks and the resource Snaprevise. With short, snappy videos, they talk through a topic and then work through some exam questions. There’s even an app and I find it a really convenient way of refreshing my knowledge.

Most courses nowadays are very challengingly application-based and the best way I combat this is through practise questions. The website Seneca provides both revision material and short questions that are simple to work through. Another grade-saving website is physics and maths tutor (stylised PMT a lot of the time). With past papers sorted by year, by topic and even by the specification, it’s full of a wealth of resources that expose you to different types of questions. It may not seem that monumental when initially learning content but come exam time the questions definitely help. There’s a certain pattern and exam technique that you can only learn and improve through doing questions, so I thoroughly recommend these resources.

Finally, good luck to everyone taking exams soon!
