It is commonly agreed upon that trying to improve our general sustainability and eco-friendliness is important in trying to save the planet, which is more vital than ever, amidst increasing concerns about global warming and climate change. However, this can feel a somewhat daunting and overwhelming task to take on individually, so it is important to break our efforts down into small and achievable steps, so we can play our part in helping protect the future of the planet in which we live.

There are a multitude of small things we can do, and changes we can make to help contribute to leading a more sustainable lifestyle. An example of one small step we can take is making sure that we turn off lights when they are not being used, in particular as we move into the warmer and hopefully more sunny moths, where we can make the most of the natural light from the sun.

Another small change which we can make to improve our sustainability is to buy less clothes which are brand new, and instead opt to buy secondhand or pre-loved items. By doing this, not only are you cutting down on waste which may end up in landfill, but also if you purchase these items from charity shops you might also support an important cause.

These are only a couple of suggestions, but there are numerous ways in which you can begin to live a more eco-friendly lifestyle, which are perhaps not as daunting as the idea seems. Whilst we can certainly take more drastic measures to improve our sustainability, it is better to make small changes than do nothing at all.
