Henrietta Barnett’s Young Enterprise Team Nebula had their first bake sale on Friday the 2nd of November to fundraise for the manufacturing of their product.

Young Enterprise is an educational charity that aims to empower students through creating their own product and company, whilst also developing many vital talents such as communicational skills and team work skills.

Therefore due to the amazing opportunity, a group of 10 girls and I formed a team called Nebula. We created a product we hope to manufacture in the future; it is a personal safety alarm fitted onto a sleek bracelet, enabling you to stay safe wherever you go.

In order to makes our aspirations a reality, we decided to fundraise for the creation of our product through a series of bake sales which we will continue in the future. We planned for the first event to take place on the 2nd of November after school so that we would be able to maximise our profits as students began their journeys home.

There were brownies, hot cross buns, pumpkin-spiced cupcakes, cookies, and Indian sweets due to Diwali being right around the corner, as well as a series of home-made goodies such as muffins, chocolates and apple tarts. They proved to be a hit among the younger years, and some teachers too!

The managing director of our team, Siya, described the event as having gone ‘really well with such a great turnout’ whilst also thanking her team for helping in the bake sale.

This was just one of the many events we have planned, as there will be plenty opportunities for you to take part in supporting us in the future. Team Nebula would sincerely like to thank everyone who bought something and helped our company grow.
