No need to travel into central London, a new beauty salon is coming to the heart of Ealing, bringing with it the vibes of South America and Miami. Leon Beauty, founded and created by Christiane Leon, is set to bring first class beauty treatments to the local people of Ealing.

As a lover of all thing's beauty, I think it’s important to create a unique and memorable experience as well as a wonderful treatment so I think the escapism and fun that Leon Beauty promises will appeal to a wide variety of people.

I posed questions to the Christiane about her new salon.

 Q. Why did you want to create a salon?

I’m passionate about beauty and I’ve wanted to open a salon for many years. I love the vibe around Dickens Yard and really felt that Leon Beauty would be a great addition to the existing retail in the scheme.

 Q. What were the challenges of launching your business during the pandemic and were there any positives?

The pandemic has delayed the opening of the salon and has hindered the ability to source some of the fixtures and fittings. It has however enabled me to really refine the design of the salon and get exactly the look that we were after.

Q. What treatments do you offer to your clients?

We’ll offer a full range of manicure and pedicure treatments together with waxing, threading and eyelash extensions.

Q. What age range and demographic would you like to appeal to and what is your price range?

We want to appeal to all age groups. Pricing wise, we’ll offer value for money built around a bedrock of outstanding customer service.

Q. Can you describe the client experience through the salon?

From the moment a client steps into the salon they will have an unrivalled customer experience, treated by the very best nail technicians and beauty therapists.

Q. What particular features of your interior design reflect the vibe you want to create?

I’m originally from Sao Paulo in Brazil. My childhood in Brazil has definitely influenced the interior design for the Salon. We’ve tried to achieve a cool Latin American beach vibe in the salon... think South Beach Miami meets Rio de Janeiro!

Q. Would you ever think of setting up a social media platform, and what message would you like to get across to your future clients about Leon Beauty?

We think that social media will form an important part of our marketing - we’ll definitely have an Instagram account.  We’ll use the platform to advise people of special offers, new products and just to generally show off the salon and what we can do!

Q. Have you taken any measures to implement sustainable practices into your salon?

Yes, we’ve tried to source sustainable products for the fit out wherever possible. We’re also exploring a carbon offset opportunity through tree planting. The ultimate goal will be to be carbon neutral.

Q. What do you hope your salon will bring to Ealing?

Leon Beauty will provide local people with a wonderful salon experience in their own neighbourhood. They won’t have to travel into central London it will be on their doorstep.  We’ll complement the existing retail in Ealing and specifically at Dickens Yard.  People will be able to dine, drink and be pampered all locally!

Q. What is the most important thing you want the public to know about your business?

We’ll offer clients a range of high-quality beauty treatments within a wonderful salon setting. Our clients will look amazing and feel refreshed after visiting the salon. The South American vibe will offer them a moment of escapism from their busy lives!

Leon Beauty will be welcoming clients to its new home at Dickens Yard from July this year. Keep an eye out for further details on how to book an appointment.

The salon will be the latest new business to become part of Dickens Yard, a growing neighbourhood created by St George in Ealing comprising 700 new homes, a range of public spaces and a variety of lifestyle brands including Triyoga, No.17 bar and BrewDog.

The experience at Leon Beauty promises to transport you to the South beaches of Miami from your local high-street.
