Tom Brady is no doubt one of the best American Football players to ever touch the field. Brady has been to nine Superbowl’s and soon to be ten as he takes on Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, February 7th. This game will go down as one of the greatest games of all time as Tom Brady is already seen as the GOAT (greatest of all time) and Patrick Mahomes is seen as the future of football as he is so young and already has a Superbowl MVP, an MVP and a Superbowl to his name at only 25.

Tom Brady has the Most Superbowl appearances and wins of any player of all time. Brady has; 6 Superbowl wins, 4 Superbowl MVPs, 3 league MVPs along with many more accolades. However, if Brady was to win this year’s Superbowl it would be one of his best and most special, this is because he is entering it going against the best rising star in the league at the age of 43. Tom was signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the start of this season following his departure from the New England Patriots after he was seen as too old to be able to win games. Now he has taken a Buccaneers team that finished with a losing record last year to the biggest stage in American Football history, even after he was counted out by almost everybody.

So now the question is asked is he the greatest US sportsman off all time? Well let’s compare him to other athletes in that conversation. Firstly, Michael Jordan. Jordan went to six NBA finals and won all six, so he makes a strong case against Brady, Jordan is also seen as one of the most influential athletes of all-time. Next is Wayne Gretzky who is seen as one of the best ice hockey players of all-time with hundreds of awards to his name.

So, who really is the GOAT of US sports? Well that is almost impossible to say as each individual was the greatest at their own sport, but you can’t compare sports to each other. This means that each individual will have a different opinion but all are valid.
