Roblox is a game that has been popularised by its simple style and variety of available games. It is on most platforms and anyone can create their own game on the platform which other people can play. It is free to play excluding paying robux (in-game currency which you can buy) which are generally used to improve your character and game play.
The website itself has come under backlash for allowing creative freedom within people making their own games and not checking nor regulating whether the games are acceptable for young audiences to play. Some games vary from overly violent to offensive and someone being exposed to that at a young age can have an impact on them later in life.
On the other hand, Roblox has a very censored chat feature that turns mostly harmless words and misspellings into asterisks. Furthermore, there are always people who try and succeed to bypass such systems and then share that knowledge around the community so there is little to no point in having them in place at all since it encourages such behaviour.
There has been more and more awareness spread online and otherwise about how dangerous playing Roblox and lobby games in general can be towards young children. The randomness and anonymity of these people playing these games can be extremely harmful and has lead to grooming towards children.
