Under lockdown round 2, unless going out for education/work, the majority of people have been urged by the government to stay indoors unless for exercise, which has evidently seen the public become welcomely more physically active.

As per government rules, we’ve been allowed in London to only meet outdoors with those in our family, support/childcare bubble, or one person from another household for means of exercise or visiting a public outdoor space, with necessary health precautions in mind.

The lockdown has also subsequently seen the closing of all gyms as part of the shutting down of sports and leisure facilities rule, which while upsetting for many, has seen an increase for a little more family and one on one time outdoors in parks and public spaces. Partaking in games of football, work out sessions on park equipment, the taking up of a new sporty hobby, a quick cycle round the area or even a lone run to stay in shape through the mental, emotional, and physical stresses/struggles of this global pandemic.

Despite even the chilly down pouring, and at times dispiriting, autumn weather. It’s all not seemed to be an established obstacle in our nations way for a good bit of fresh air and indulgence in nature’s autumn colours to calm ourselves, as well as let go of any extra pent up energy.

If you’re yet to partake in any outdoor events, I’d highly recommend even a 30 minute outdoor breather in your local park, just to even briefly put you at a sense ease during these times.

And although patiently awaiting the lift of the current 2nd national lockdown, it’s nice to see this time round it’s not brought down our nations active spirits too much.
