Black History Month is a way of remembering important people and events in the history of the African diaspora. It is celebrated in February in the US, however in the UK it is celebrated in October.

There are many ways for everybody to celebrate Black History Month. You can support Black businesses, donate to Black organizations, charities etc. You can also engage in healthy conversations about Black History Month on social media. Furthermore, you can also read books by Black authors, listen to music by Black artists, attend a black culture event in your community, visit a Black History museum in your local area and many more!

Black History Month helps educate people who are not aware of the sacrifices made by black people. It is an important time of the year to help educate people outside of the black community to understand why black people are worthy citizens. This would allow us to create a fair, equal and a non-racist environment and help communities to understand each other.

One famous person who fought for equality for African Americans is Martin Luther King. Martin Luther King, also known as MLK, fought for fairness and human rights for African Americans in the mid 1950s. Unfortunately, he was assassinated in 1968, however his efforts were not ignored. Here is a quote by MLK: “I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the colour of their skin, but by the content of their character.” Martin Luther King is one of the heroes who is celebrated during Black History Month to remember his brave actions in order to seek equality for his community who was being abused and judged by their skin colour, which he thought was not right.

In addition, I would like to talk about KSI, also known as JJ Olatunji. He is a social media star, internet celebrity, boxer, rapper, actor and youtuber, who is from Nigeria and lives in the UK. He is one of the two black YouTubers with 10 million subscribers on YouTube, the other one being his younger brother.

He is a talented Nigerian who makes music with people such as Lil Pump, Smokepurpp, Offset, Trippie Redd, Rick Ross, Nathan Dawe and many other artists. He has had multiple Weekly UK Top 10s on the Official Charts, and his album was on the top 10 list for 4 weeks on the Official Charts, which is an amazing accomplishment.

He has also had boxing matches with other YouTube influencers. He won the first boxing match and proved everyone wrong who doubted him. He was the underdog in his first fight, as he had no boxing experience and was not fit. In his second boxing match, he drew against Logan Paul, who is an American YouTuber, with an athletic background. Later on, when they had a rematch, he won the fight, which was a professional boxing fight, compared to the previous fights when they had headguards.

Therefore, during Black History Month we can take the opportunity to celebrate and recognise KSI’s achievements and success on social media, and how he has turned it into a career. He is an inspiration to many young teenagers, as he is a multi-talented celebrity, who is a professional boxer, rapper, actor, and a YouTuber. He paints a image such that you can do anything if you put your mind into it and work hard.
