Autumn is undeniably here. After a long summer, it is safe to say a change in season is well appreciated by all. The change from a scorching summer to a cool morning of autumn gives us something new to focus on, instead of the current pandemic.

Autumn is the most drastic seasonal change. Although it happens every year, we never fail to get excited for what is to come in this part of the year. The changing colours, leaves falling, and the drizzle of morning rain captures us in a moment with nature, where we just watch and acknowledge the changes around us. Taking a walk in a local park near you, for example, Richmond or Bushy Park in Hampton, can be as therapeutic as a yoga session indoors. At the current time, when we are not allowed to meet other households inside, meeting outside during autumn could not be more appropriate. It helps us to acknowledge that yes, there are changes in nature, just like there are constant changes in our lifestyle today.

After an outside stroll, there is nothing better to do than cosey up indoors with a hot chocolate. It may even encourage some to spend more meaningful time with the family and watch a nice film. We forget there are things to look forward to in the upcoming months despite of the overwhelming changes to our lifestyle due to the current pandemic.

Autumn is a time for reflection as it inspires us to reflect of what is going on in our surroundings. It gives us the time to appreciate the natural wonders of our environment and all the beauties that come along with it.
