Speakers for Schools support more than 2100 state schools and colleges and they support more than 900,000 young people.

Offering all the advice a teenage would need for their transition into adulthood and life in a career, speakers for schools organise numerous school talks. In this time of lock down, they are providing different talks by UK’s professional leaders and top employers to inspire ambitious goals. The information speakers provide gives you a valuable insight into what employers are looking for when taking on new candidates, the hints and tips to hone your CV into an attractive document you can use to apply for numerous jobs.

On Tuesday 28th April, Marco Bertozzi (vice president for Europe Spotify) gave an interesting virtual talk on his career, marketing yourself in the best way possible, how to get in front of potential employers the importance of work experience and pre - work preparation. This was a live chat enabling students worldwide to ask valuable questions which he was able to answer with uttermost detail backed up by his own fist hand experiences.

If you have missed Bertozzis speech, then do not worry as on the 6th may, Liz O’Riordan (former breast consultant surgeon and also a breast cancer patient) will lead a talk on coping with stress and dealing with any negative situations. Her talk is designed to encourage determination and strength of character in distressing times and working towards ambitions that may help deal with any personal issues.

This organisation has helped many students with career and life guidance and is on track to help many more.
