As a young person I personally think that keeping healthy is not only important but a necessity for everyone. Now that we are quarantined in our homes it is even harder to exercise compared to our norm al daily routine. This may be because many of us cannot go out to the gym to get a moderate workout done or go for a run in the local park. On the other hand, there are many other physical activities you can do at home with family that could be just as enjoyable.

A national health survey for England took place in 2016, which uncovered the fact that only 66% of men and 58% of women do the recommended daily amount of exercise. This is quite concerning as many people are not following the important guidelines for physical activity.

According to the NHS everyone should be doing a minimum of one hour of any kind of physical activity. This could range from doing yoga with family or playing basketball in your back garden, either way exercising is very important and many of us should be aware of the consequences of not keeping fit every day. This could lead to harmful chronic diseases such as obesity, coronary heart disease and high blood pressure. Especially now that we are at home, we are prone to sitting on the sofa for hours watching TV which is not great for your health.

Overall, keeping fit should not be a chore but something you look forward to and enjoy, which is the most important part of exercising.
