The Universe is an incredibly huge place and humans are a mere aspect of it. Scientists have constantly been trying to learn more about the universe and with the help of the Hubble space telescope they have learnt more about the universe in the last fifty years than they have since the existence of humanity. Astrophysics is not only a fascinating topic to learn about but also very mysterious as there is always something new to learn.

About two and a half weeks ago on the 11th of March I took part in an Astrophysics space master class which was run by the National Space Academy and it was truly a mind-blowing experience. The whole day was spent learning about space, physics and elements of biology and chemistry. Finally, we ended the fantastic day by testing and creating air pressure rockets which I personally think was the most interesting part of the entire day. Some of the air pressure rockets went as high as 5 metres high.

Marvey Yousef, another participant of the master class said, “it was an engrossing day and we learnt a lot of things that we wouldn’t normally do in school.”

I personally think the universe is a truly enchanting place, something we don’t know much about. It’s hard to believe that humans have only discovered four percent of the universe, seeing as it is exceedingly large from a human perspective. And to think that there could be life outside of Earth is genuinely captivating as this whole time Earth and humanity have stood alone.
