With recent decisions restricting the public from going outside, this almost-lockdown is really taking a toll on people across the globe. So, what can you do to make the most of this time?

Educate yourself. Now, this may not sound the most appealing. However, this undecided time can be used as an effective time to broaden your knowledge. Especially, for students, for those who are struggling with meeting deadlines or have gaps in their knowledge, this is a free pass to get you back on track.

Developing a new hobby. This sounds much easier said than when it is done but, developing a hobby is the perfect way to pass-time as well as draining boredom. Not only that, but this allows for you to find out something new about yourself. Maybe you’re an undercover baker; a professional level gamer; or an upcoming musician.

Get in touch with friends. Whether it be new friends or old, this is the time to catch up. Send a quick text, a call or even a video chat. Keeping your social life alive is the perfect way to keep in touch as well as pass time.

Workouts. With gyms closed and all this spare time, you may have made excuses to get out of exercising previously, however, this time it is inescapable. Being indoors all day with minimised space, it is necessary to get in a stretch and routine ready for your physical as well as mental health.

Family time. Now, this may not be the first thing that comes to mind, but the iPads down, turn the Xbox off and play a game of Monopoly or Scrabble. Times where all members are at home ma be rare so make the most of it while it lasts.

Overall, staying at home may not be the most ideal position you have to be in however, it is necessary and for your own safety. Time is in your hands and you decide what you want to do with it! Stay positive and stay safe.
