Top local actors become patrons of the Chiswick Playhouse

 

Two top award winning actors have been named patrons of the Chiswick Playhouse. Chiswick Playhouse is a theatre based on Turnham Green Terrace where West End shows are put on. The Actors are Kevin McNally and Phyllis Logan. Kevin McNally is an English actor who has worked in theatre, television and radio. He is best known for portraying Joshamee Gibbs in the Pirates of the Caribbean film series. Phyllis Logan is a Scottish actress who is best known for her role as Mrs.Hughes in Downtown Abbey. She also won a BAFTA award for most promising newcomer for the 1983 film Another Time. The third patron is a former BBC Media Correspondent Torin Douglas MBE, who is well known locally for his work with the Bedford Park Festival, Chiswick Book Festival, and other local community and arts events. As long with naming new patrons they have also announced that they will be naming Wayne Glover- Stuart as the new producer. He trained at Guildhall School of Music and Drama and has since worked as a Creative Producer at

the BBC, General Manager at Tramshed and the Artistic Lead at Shaw Theatre. This new positions comes after the 2019 decision to rebrand and relaunch the Chiswick Playhouse
