Today was the grand opening of the latest Mooboo bubble tea store franchise in Kingston. This Taiwanese store currently has 20 stores in the UK, and is growing quickly, having recently opened in Watford and Woodgreen within the past half a year. They have even been featured as one of the best bubble tea stores by the Evening Standard.

The store is located near Kingston University on Surbiton road, likely catering to the busy students, and outside of the busy Kingston shopping area. Despite this, there was a considerable footfall into the store; in the past there was a significant lack of bubble tea stores in the area. If you live in the area, Mooboo also offers delivery straight to your door through Deliveroo, Justeat or Ubereats.

There is a huge variety of different combinations of tea bases and toppings, as well as the option to customise the sugar and ice amounts in your tea. Mooboo advertises that there are over 1000 different combinations possible! A new item on their menu is the trendy brown sugar milk tea, which adds more flavour onto the classic milk tea. They frequently add new items onto their menu, adding to their popularity.

The founder, Eric Khaw, set out “to create the finest quality drinks and desserts for everyone in the country to consume and enjoy,” which can be tasted in their drinks. Happily, as it is the grand opening, there is a buy one get one free offer running from the 11th to the 12th of January.
