In a fantastic performance displayed through the two legs of the FA Trophy Semi Finals, Leyton Orient have earned a place to win the tournament on England’s biggest sporting arena;

Wembley Stadium

.

The semi-final tie was played against West Midlands side AFC Telford, in which the Orient beat them 3-1 over the two legs.

The First Leg was played at Orients Brisbane Road, where Leyton talisman Macauley Bonne eventually netted the only goal of the leg in the 54th minute, in what seemed a comfortable win for the O’s.

However, the 2nd leg proved much more troublesome for the Vanarma League leaders. Matt Harold would put Leyton 1-0 up just before receiving a questionable red card, allowing Telford to get a foot back in the game. Telford started to apply pressure, and the pressure was converted into a goal as Ellis Deeney’s wonder strike rattled the back of the net in the 39th minute. However Orient defender Josh Coulson’s headed goal in the 77th minute put the tie to bed, and cemented the East London sides place in the final at Wembley.

Leyton Orient still reside top of the National League, two points clear of second with two games in hand. Their opponents in the final will be 5th placed AFC Fylde. The two teams have met twice this season already, Leyton Orient beating them on both occasions.

This Campaign has been tremendously successful for Leyton Orient; fans are hopeful that the team can clinch the first ever domestic double in club History
