You’ll go into school and all you can hear are children moaning about their school uniform: “ugh it’s too hot” or “ugh it’s too cold”. The uniform is just never good enough for children in school nowadays!

I’m sure there are parents whose children are always moaning about having to wear school uniform and not their own clothes, but unbeknown to these children, uniform has an enormous impact on the lives on children. Uniforms can prevent things like bullying and make all students equal. It also shows the children authority- they need to be shown how to behave and listen to the instructions from their peers-and the uniform creates a sense of law and order.

There is always the matter of school uniform being too expensive to pay for – especially if you have multiple children in school or financial issues- and this is a huge contributor to the representation of school uniform.

I believe that school uniform has a sense of power and control for those in charge- I think that if you control the uniform, they are all equal and ready to learn. I also deeply agree with the statement that uniform prevents bullying- of sorts- and creates equality. If some students weren’t up with the latest ‘fashion trends’ or don’t have ‘nice’ clothes then they could be picked on or even bullied by those who do or are up with those things. It would have an impact on those who wish to create their own styles, as they are forced to dress and keep up with the ‘norm’.
