Yesterday fans screamed hysterically as the teen sensation Billie Eilish made her dramatic entrance on to the stage, she entered on the lap of a giant set spider kicking off her the first show of the three consecutive nights at Shepherds Bush Empire in London. Fans spent the night soaking up the electric atmosphere and recording on their phones as they sang their hearts out to their favourite songs including ‘bury a friend’ and ‘idontwannabeyouanymore.’

The 4th of March also happened to be the release date of her most recent single “wish you were gay” already at 6 million views on YouTube, which she performed for the first ever time on stage yesterday.

The impressive venue in London held 2000 fans yesterday, a more intimate choice of venue for the singer in comparison to the capacity at the o2 arena with a capacity of 20,000 seats.

Salma Lazraq was an attendee of the gig and bought her tickets for £95, significantly less expensive than the last minute re-sales on sale for up to £600! Salma greatly enjoyed the show and had this about say her about her experience:

“It was my first time ever going to a concert so I was really excited and a bit nervous but it was even better than I thought it would be, the best part was singing along to the words of all the songs with everyone. The atmosphere was incredible and it was a bonus that I met Lewis Blissett (viral young singer) when I was in the queue to get in. I even got to see Nick Grimshaw (radio presenter) in the audience and Brooklyn Beckman in the crowd so that was really cool.”

The singer shared a clip from the show on her instagram today with the caption “last night was a movie.” It showed fans clear an area before jumping in it as the beat dropped, paired with the dancing spotlights it made an amazing atmopsphere however perhaps one to pass for the claustrophobics and epileptics!

It’s not hard to see the ‘hype’ surrounding this singer, it only takes a listen to any of her hauntingly beautiful songs to discover that she is anything but your average teen pop singer.
