A levels is a trying time; I would know- I am an A level student. During these next two gruelling years of study, self-study is essential. For this, it is very important to have resources you can turn to, trusting the content and concepts they are teaching you. Here, I share some of the few resources fellow A level students out there may find useful for their learning and revision.

SnapRevise: This is possibly the best resource that I could recommend. Rather than having large chunks of texts laid out that require endless scrolling to get through, SnapRevise has several short videos for every topic within a variety of subjects. These videos are short and concise as well as easy to follow. Subject terminology is repeatedly used which helps the listener adapt to A level language, which is more advanced compared to GCSE terminology. Both vivid in drawings and diagrams, as well as easy to follow, SnapRevise is a trusty tool.

Cleapss: Cleapss is a fantastic website for any help you may need with the sciences. Most 6th forms require students who have chosen to do at least one of the three sciences, to complete required practicals. If any research is required for beforehand, Cleapss contains information about everything to do with science practicals. From what sort of hazard a chemical may cause, to how to grow agar jelly, Cleapss will be your best friend when it comes to getting laboratory work and practicals done. Remember that knowledge on required practicals will be tested in the final exams.

GCSE Pod and Kerboodle: Despite both of these websites being aimed primarily for GCSE students, GCSE Pod and Kerboodle are excellent resources for brushing up basic knowledge and reminding yourself of the fundamental concepts learned at GCSE. As the name suggests, GCSE Pod has a similar format to SnapRevise, with plenty of videos filled with subject orientated content. Kerboodle has several online textbooks which have helpful exam questions at the end to secure students’ knowledge.

Chemguide: This website is tailor made for those studying chemistry at A level. As soon as you click on the website, the course is broken down into the main umbrella topics that are studied. The website is incredibly easy to navigate. Each topic is broken down into more manageable chunks. Furthermore, the information can be followed and understood without any difficulty. There are diagrams to further aid a student, and more visual learners. Additionally, the format of the website is very pleasing and non-distracting to the eye.

These are just a few of the many resources out there; however from my experience, the above are truly a collection of some of the best tools that can aid your revision. Happy studying!
