“A New Year's resolution is a tradition, in which a person resolves to change an undesired trait or behavior, to accomplish a personal goal or otherwise improve their life.” I am certain that most of us have thought of a New Year’s resolution and how this year is ‘The Year’ and that we would change our lives for the better. However most of us tend to give up without reaching our goal.

What is it that makes us fail?

It can be argued that the resolutions that we set for ourselves are really unrealistic goals. Also many like the results to be immediate and resolutions such as starting to eat healthier and lose weight may be a long process as weight is easier gained than lost; there are goals that can have a faster outcome than others all we need is commitment. For us to reach our goals I believe we have to push ourselves further than we have ever gone so that way the goals we set for ourselves aren’t just something we wished happened. Things don’t just happen as we have to make them, as every year we get a clean slate where we can set realistic goals that can be accomplished and there may also be goals that take longer than others for the stratification. Great things come from hard work, and we may not be able to change the start but it is never too late to start now and change the ending.
