The definition of motivation is a reason or reasons for acting or behaving in a particular way.Motivation is derived from the word ’motive’ which means wants or need in us that drives within us. It is the process people use complete actions and to accomplish the goals.

Human behavior is goal-directed meaning that our behaviour and how we act is driven through the goals we set for ourselves. Motivation causes goal-directed behavior. There are several driving forces in driving a force in human behavior.

Teenagers go through a lot in their years and at times can hit their lows and feel unmotivated and lazy at times but this doesn't mean that they are just bad kids there are many factors to their behavior, many just assume that teenagers act like this due to their adolescence but this is not the case at all.

Many teenagers responded well to this motivation, they do work hard, and this is because they are motivated to do so. They did this because what they were doing it as had a point, and it matched their natural desire to be treated and considered as adults.

Very few teenagers completely lack motivation.  What many teenagers lack is the motivation to do stuff that doesn’t matter, doesn’t seem important, or is about satisfying an agenda that doesn’t relate to them.

There are many theories to how motivation works some true and some are lies but motivation is a widely debated subject as there can be many conflicts of interest in it.

An interesting theory is the Drive Reduction Theory of motivation suggest that people act, in order to reduce needs and maintain a constant physiological which is the brain's mental state. For example, people eat in order to reduce their need for food. The idea of homeostasis is central to drive reduction theory. Homeostasis is the maintenance of a state of physiological scale.

Motivation is one of the physical taboos that teenagers deal with and this topic does not get a lot of attention and teachers and parents don't give enough support in this sense as this battle is one that feels as if only you can solve it. But over time you are able to deal with these obstacles and learn your special tricks to help you to deal with motivation and even your lack of it.
