Body World is an exhibition which showcases the goings on underneath our skin. This exhibition has been a worldwide phenomenon, with lots of people going to see the display by Dr Gunther van Hagens. A group of students from my school went to see his work in London, and I went to get some opinions of the day and the exhibition.

I spoke to Taylor about his experience: “I learned about the parts of the heart and how they are useful. I also learned that a horse’s tail begins right up the top of its body and that a 4-week-old baby is about 1cm long”. Taylor said he would “definitely” recommend the experience.

I spoke to another student who said that the experience helped her realise that it’s “better to lead a healthier lifestyle”

She also said: “It was really good because you got to see real parts of the human body. You got to learn how the organs work and their role in the body. I would recommend to people interested in the human body.”

I spoke to another student, who does P.E at school about her experience: “It was an amazing day out. I had never seen anything like it before. Although you’re looking at dead bodies, you are able to see how all of the muscles and bones work in our bodies.”

“I found it really helpful for future P.E lessons.”

“I would definitely recommend, people would love it, but it was a bit gruesome in places.”

So, what are you waiting for? Go and experience what you are made of at Body World!
