Failure often comes from within the dark place where we associate within the great depression of our lifetimes. This can include issues such as failing a mock exam, GCSES, relationships, businesses and many more but many people seem to want to avoid such a serious issue in which that it should be looked at, and give us an insight on what we should do to improve our selves.

According to Psychology Today, the two actions that happen within ourselves when we fail is that at first, we immediately shut down mentally. This is due to the fact that as we are in a society who often praises success, this emphasises that it’s the hidden shame of failure that makes individuals don’t want to do anything, instead just procrastinate.

We also often hear that over 80% of new businesses fail within the first year and therefore, creates a sense of hopelessness within our lives.

But with further procrastination, this can lead to more missed opportunities for success which can also lead to other issues such as depression, isolation and many other paths that can be seem as very “unhealthy.”

But there are reasons as to why failure can actually be a good thing to yourself and your wellbeing.

One reason is that it makes you try harder. Often, when an individual’s wants what they want from the paths that they have chosen, they would want to try to use different strategies to get where they want to be even though it may take some encouragement and some, persuasion.

By trying harder, it encourages you to learn from your failures and to try some things that you may have never thought doing otherwise. This can boost confidence and therefore improve decision making in which can then lead to more successful ventures.

Many well known businesses and business owners today started off with a failed business that was expected to go well but still carried on regardless.

This is especially important as that within the years of being a teenager, it can be rather difficult to accept failure as within the pressures from parents and teachers to get good grades and if you are the type of person that is able to fill it, then great!

But those who are unable due to circumstances or other issues, this can be a very dark period of your life. With the reliance of grades to ensure success and a stable future, this can cause some uneasiness within an individual, where being too worried becomes the norm (as it already is within school life and in general.) But, this should not be seen as a disadvantage. Failure can bring you luck as that it may help you realise on what you’re good at and what not so good at whilst also possibly encourage you to focus on your new passions.

By relying by your own successes and your own passions, this can lead to a better path within your life.

Something where it might not be expected otherwise.
