The annual Hampton Hill Christmas parade once again proved to be a success as floods of local residents poured out onto the streets to enjoy the festivities on the 30th November 2018.

The high street was closed from 5.30pm to 8.30pm to ensure an enjoyable experience was had by all in the parade’s 54th occasion.

The parade, which is organised by local residents, hosted many different activities for all age groups. There was live music, festive food stalls, a vintage car show, fairground rides and even pony rides to get people into the festive mood as we approach Christmas.

The lights on the Christmas tree were then turned on at 6pm to illuminate the town. Following this there was a special themed parade as Princess Anna and Elsa of Disney’s ‘Frozen’ delighted both families and children alike.

Father Christmas himself also made an appearance decked out in his full beard and distinctive red outfit. He warned the children to be good this Christmas or they may face a sack of coal instead of a nice surprise! Father Christmas made his journey in a full horse drawn carriage down the length of the high street but couldn’t stay for long as he had to get back to the North Pole to ensure that the elves would be working hard to get the presents ready in time for Christmas!

Overall, the event was a brilliant success for the local community with the parade being hosted in support of local charities and the hard work put in by many local volunteers clearly paying off.
