Let the festivities begin! Bright vibrant colours fill the bustling streets of London, illuminated with festive cheer all round. The one thing that lights up the darkness of winter quite literally everywhere. A magical time of year where the cold and dark of winter is passed over by all. Everyone’s favourite time of the year approaching soon; a time for love, laughter and merriment.

An exciting time for everyone is Christmas lights being switched on, whether it be in your local area or the busy streets of Central London, as it marks the start to the festivities one looks forward to from any time of the year.

No matter what your interests there is always something to do at this time of year whether it be holiday shopping on Oxford Street, visiting Santa at Hamleys, going ice- skating at the Natural History Museum or riding a rollercoaster at Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park. Some stunning Christmas displays on offer to the public around London include Carnaby Street, Regents Street, Covent Garden and last but by no means least Oxford Street. It doesn’t matter whether you celebrate Christmas or not the lights are for everyone to enjoy during this cheerful season. The Oxford Street Christmas Lights switch- on occurred on the 6thof November; some may say very prior to Christmas but it is never too early to let the warm glow of light radiate the streets.
