Almost every young person has a phone, using social media for every little thing when it's not completely necessary. Social media gets in between young people's minds and effects their communication to the world. Social media is being made to look like it’s a fantastic way to communicate, find out new things, meet new people but communication between young people is appalling hardly any of them really show their emotions, show how they feel, show who they are. They are constantly hiding who they are using emojis to express their 'social media' feelings. Most young people are miserable while using social media and use it as an escape route but they shouldn’t have to hide or they to escape, they shouldn’t have to pretend, they should not have to change themselves for social media, they should not have to escape reality. Many young people think they can hind behind a screen forever and that needs to change. Young people need to start using their own facial expressions, their own minds, their own voices. Social media has made young people forget their voices, going into teenage hood people feel the need not to show how they feel and talk to people face to face. Pressure gets to young people as they reach teenage hood, if you’re seen talking to the opposite gender you get judged, labeled and others automatically think you're in a relationship. Another reason young people may use social media is because they want to hide, hide behind a screen. Young people use the power of social media to be someone else, use a fake identify to be more confident, more talkative, more attractive, more humorous and when they come out of the dark they shrink back to what they believe they are without social media and that’s how social media is punishing young people, making them feel as if they are nothing without social media but young people need to young people need to understand they are who they are. They are funny, beautiful, talkative and so much confident then they think they are only if they believe. Don't let social media control the young people, we are the future as the older generation always tells us.
