Throughout social media there has been hype for the upcoming new release of Cassandra Clares third book in her ‘the dark artifices’ series, the book as many will know is called queen of air and darkness. There are many social media platforms such as tumbler and instagram where a lot of her fans are posting thousands of fan art and theories of what they believe will be happening in this up and coming book.
Cassandra clares books mean a great deal to many people but mainly the younger generation of young adults, there is a huge range of diversity going on in all her book series that bring everything together and ties in each book. Cassandra Clares has an amazing ability to create a story so detailed without using so many words that we are still able to picture what the scene and the characters would look like so clearly in our heads that it is like we are actually there ourselves, this is why over 36 million people are hooked on her books.
The books themselves are about a variety of topics even though it may not seem that way, back in 2007 we were first introduced to Cassandra Clare with the first book in her shadowhunter chronicles which is the city of bones. This book follows clary fray who on her birthday goes to a club and witnesses a murder, one that is done by three teenagers who we later learn are shadowhunters and after this her mother is kidnapped so in order to find her mother she must work with these three shadowhunters. She meets warlocks, vampires, werewolves, faerie and the few odd demons.
From all the way back in 2007 when we learnt that all the stories we ever heard about warlocks, vampires, werewolves, faeries, demons and angels are all true and now just two years ago in 2016 Cassandra Clare had published the first book to the third series within the shadowhunter chronicles called lady midnight and fans had fallen head over heels for the youngest lost herondale, as for every book of the shadowhunter chronicles there is a herondale in each series and these characters all bring the charming sarcasm we all enjoy within Cassandra clares books because there are times where the books can become very dark and sad however there is always a joke being made even when the characters we love so much are in danger.
We have been teased with so many snippets of queen of air and darkness, but now the wait is finally almost over and so many people across the world have pre-ordered or are getting ready to go down to their local book store and buy themselves a copy on the 04th of December.
