On Wednesday the 28th of November I attended the weekly films club in Hatch End Highschool and here are my thoughts.

The atmosphere of the club was full of fun as I walked in with my friend to attend the viewing of the classic American film, The Breakfast Club.

Students who attended from years 11 and up enjoyed the whole experience, one of my classmates, Dawid Gorecki, stating “The film was an absolute masterpiece and didn’t fail to make me laugh.”

The film club is hosted every week on Wednesday and lasts for as long as the movie. Numerous genres are screened, comedy, thriller, animation and many more so there is a wide variety to suit many students who are looking to widen their film knowledge.

Many different students are brought together and can discuss their favourite movie genres and titles, from sixth form to year 8 all is welcome.

The host of the Film Club, Mr Cole Savidge, Introduced the film with a speech and allowed us to watch the film trailer before hand to allow the students to understand the form of film we were about to watch.

The film conveyed an over-the-top look at American High School detention and the friendship formed between teenagers.

The experience overall was extremely entertaining and the variety available to the students on the films being screened allows for many different students to join in on the fun.
