We live in a world full of film and visual effects that allows us to escape into colourful and adventurous worlds we could never imagine. A mastermind behind one of the most famous comic book and film companies in the world: Stan Lee has recently died on the 12th of November 2018. Stan Lee whose official name is Stanley Martin Lieber was born on the 18th of December 1922 and started off as an American comic book writer, editor and publisher who took part in the creation of many super heroes that are known by everyone such as Spider-man, Iron man, Hulk, the Fantastic Four and many more internationally known heroes. He built Marvel comics from the foundations of his family business leading his expansion from a little multimedia corporation to the leading figure in the comics industry. He retired from Marvel in the 1990s but remained a public figurehead for the company and continued to perform cameos in most of their films and received an executive producer title. Shaheer Baddaruddin a 16-year-old film student talked about how “Stan Lee was a true inspiration and a true legend”. Stan Lee created something beloved by millions of people in the world and his work will be remembered and carried on for many more years to come and carry on allowing people to dive into his remarkable universe. Stan Lee and his unique work will never be forgotten and will always find a place in our hearts.
