A team of students at Wallington Grammar School, put on an eventful evening full of laughter and fun as students showed off their talent skills to many peers, parents and friends.

Students had been preparing for weeks to show off their talents, and I was not disappointed. The school showcased performances from Bollywood to Street Dance, individual singers and a catwalk of different cultural fashions.

Starting at 18:30, the event was packed with people coming to watch the showcase of talent. People were found watching the show from the staircase outside the hall, some were even turned away because of the unexpected large amount of members of the crowd.

The audience erupted throughout the show, showing great support as the acts sang, danced and strutted their way around the stage. Wallington County Grammar School used their cultural diversity to their advantage, showcasing fashion styles from India, Africa and even stereotypical school groups.

The night ended with the third attempt of the Bollywood dancers, who gracefully and creatively amazed the crowd.

An anonymous audience member that she “thoroughly enjoyed the night. It was amazing to see how supportive the audience was.  I thought each act was entertaining and showed amazing skills. I never knew Wallington had quite so much talent.”

High bars have been reached this year Wallington, I hope you’re ready to beat it next year too.
