On the 26th September 2015, a local mosque, in Morden had caught on fire. The fire was burning from 12pm to 4pm. A local source who goes to the mosque said, “I don’t know how it happened, and what happened exactly, all I want is for the mosque to be alright. The mosque is my second home and I hope there is not too much damage.”

Many people who go to the mosque in Morden are clearly devastated about what has happened. Helicopters were circling around the area and police were everyone. No-one still knows what happened.

A teenage girl had said, “I was so upset when it happened, I wasn’t even in the area to see everything that had happened, I just hope everything’s going to be okay. Me and my family are praying for the best. I don’t know if this was by purpose or not, but if so I just don’t understand why. Love for all, hatred for none, that’s what the mosque says.”

This has been such devastating news; the mosque fire has affected all the local Muslims everywhere. Let’s take a minute and pray – for everyone and everything and hope that nothing else bad happens. Luckily there weren’t any deaths or serious injuries, but still no-one knows how it happened.
