Noah Kahan, the Grammy nominated folk singer who has taken the world by storm with his 2022 album ‘Stick Season’, has had a monumental year.
Noah Kahan has been releasing music for years- he has explored and switched genres since releasing his first single, Hold it Down, in 2017. Originally embarking on his musical genre by releasing pop songs with the likes of Julia Michael, 2020 and the international lockdown that affected billions saw a change in Kahan’s creative output. With the release of his 2020 EP ‘Cape Elizabeth’, Kahan swiftly and smoothly swapped into the genre of folk music, and since he has not looked back.
In 2022, Kahan released his first folk album, titled ‘Stick Season’- and the album launched his career into the sky. Since the release of the album, Kahan has embarked on several legs of a sold-out tour, most notably booking two nights at the prestigious O2 in August, has been nominated in the category of Best New Artist at the 66th annual Grammy Awards, and has released songs with legends such as Brandi Carlile and Post Malone, as well as Sam Fender and Hozier.
As 2024 begins, it is apparent that this is going to be another big year for Kahan- with two nights booked at the O2 in London, and his list of projects with legendary musicians growing stronger, Kahan’s fans and supporters only grow in size and become more passionate. The international success and critical claim for Kahan has shown clearly that folk music is making a comeback- and in higher numbers than ever.
