LE Havre are considering whether to sign Charlton defender Yassin Moutaouakil on loan.

Addicks boss Phil Parkinson revealed last week Moutaouakil was on the way out of The Valley after a disappointing two-year spell in SE7, with a return to his native France the most likely destination.

And Parkinson today confirmed Le Havre are in the running, although he made it clear they have yet to make a formal bid – something the Charlton manager is keen to see happen.

He explained: “Le Havre are talking about taking Yassin on loan, so I am waiting to hear something on that today.

“We had a couple of French clubs come in for him last year but he didn’t want to go back to France.

“Now I think he is keener on the idea by all accounts.”

Parkinson added: “Apparently they have a coach there who used to manage Yassin at one of his former clubs.

“We’ve just said to him if he wants to do it, then fax an offer over to us.

“But we still haven’t received anything, so sometimes with agents they can create something which is almost hearsay.

“We really need to get it in writing that they want to take him because I think it will be best for all concerned if Yassin moves on.”
