Athletes from Epsom & Ewell Harriers made the short trip to Carshalton to compete in the South London Athletics Network Open meeting.

The u13 sprinters enjoyed plenty of success. Laura Lopez continued her excellent recent form with two personal best performances, winning the 100m in 13.3 secs while her 200m win in 27.5 secs took her into the top 20 in the UK rankings. Sienna Kidd was close behind her finishing 2nd in the 200m in 27.9 secs, to add to her earlier victory in the 70m hurdles in 12.4 secs where Estee Norman took second in 12.9 secs.

Laura and Sienna later combined with Lola Wills and Lily King to win the 4x100m relay in 54.0 secs ahead of older squads from Sutton and Herne Hill. This was substantially faster than the Club Record at the start of the season of 55.8 seconds, which had been set in 1991, and only slightly outside the current record of 53.3 seconds set by Laura, Sienna, Bethan Hadingham and Katie McNeil two weeks earlier.

The u13 boys claimed a clean sweep in the 200m; Josiah Akota-Dwemoa taking the win in 27.9 secs with Josh Clinton and Ranvir Gulati close behind. Sophie Lomas claimed a convincing win by 6 seconds in the u15 800m in 2 mins 27.0 secs and Charlotte Williams took the u15 sprint double clocking 13.3 secs for the 100m and 27.0 secs for the 200m.
