Sutton fans are descending on Dublin this weekend for another long-haul adventure.

Taking on Bohemians at their Dalymount Park ground in the third round of the Irn-Bru Cup the journey will be an unbelievably shorter trip than their last round tie against Airdrieonians.

Before a disappointing and controversial 2-1 defeat on another long away day at Barrow last Saturday, Paul Doswell’s men were on a fine run of form which included wins over Wrexham and Leyton Orient.

So who are Bohemians?

Founded in 1890 they are only one of two remaining founding members of the League of Ireland since it’s inception in 1921. They’ve won the league on seven occasions, most recently in 2009 when they retained it for the first time.

Bohemians are managed by Keith Long and currently sit sixth in the League of Ireland Premier Division with three games to play.

Having been knocked out of the FAI Cup earlier this week, the Irn Bru Cup represents the only real possibility of silverware for the ‘Gypsies.’

They booked their spot in the third round thanks to a 1-0 win at Peterhead.

For fans unable to make the trip to Dublin, the game will be shown at the Player’s Bar at Gander Green Lane. Kick off at 3pm.
