The Pickwick leaders of the Elite League in the South London & Kent Pool Alliance went down to their third defeat of the season at the hands of relegation threatened Brockleians Choppers.

Their 2-1 sets win opens up the title race with just four matches of the season remaining thanks in no small part to Paul Turner pocketing all 3 blacks in his frames.

Whilst the Pickwick were losing, 3rd place namesakes Brockleians were going head to head with 2nd place Riley’s Woolwich.

The teams could not be divided as each emerged with 2 points each, despite George Hughes winning all 3 of his frames for the Brockleians.

O’Connors closed the gap in 4th place with a comprehensive 3-0 win over the bottom of the table Riley’s Rovers.

The Royal Oak played more like champions than relegation candidates as Mark Hill won 3/3 and Mike Mander enjoyed a break and clear in his last frame as the Oak ran riot winning 3-0 in sets dropping just a single frame all evening, against the Fox Under The Hill.

In division Tier 2 West, Riley’s A have one foot back in the Elite League after a 3-0 sets and 10-5 frames win against their closest rivals Rack Pack.

The score didn’t really reflect the closeness of the match, but with the Rack Pack presenting Rileys’ top dog James Sheed with simple blacks and Naftali Ayieko recoding a hat trick it seems that their stay out of the top division won’t last long.

Bellegrove Social Club A remain in the hunt for a play off spot with a 3-0 win over the Kings Arms.

Tier 2 East provided a similar story with Erith Snooker Master 8’ers puting away White Hart by 2 sets to 1.

Scott Shepherd won an important last frame of the night for the White Hart to ensure that Erith Snooker‘s lead at the summit is not insurmountable.

Our Lady Of The Rosary upset Bellegrove Social Club B with a thumping 3-0 sets win and New Eltham Social Club finally won their first match of the season away at the Leather Bottle.

New recruit Billy Dolby ensured that his 3 frames helped New Eltham to the 2-1 sets win, but the Bottle had the last laugh, stealing a bonus point by winning the frame count 8-7, leaving the team with 2 points each.

Greenwich Town Social Club keep their 100% winning record with a 9-3 away win at the Boston Crabs in the Reserve League, whilst Chris Bracey won all four of his frames including a complete clearance from the break as the Pickwick Academicals drew 6 each with Quid Pro Cue.
