With all the league matters virtually decided this week the South London & Kent Pool Alliance turned its attention to the cup.

Two first division sides had battled through the rounds to reach the semis and must have both had good reason to think they could cause an upset against their premier division opponents.

Our Lady Of The Rosary were looking to make it a hat trick of premier scalps in the competition when they came up against the inconsistent Rack Pack.

However Rack Pack were not to be denied in reaching the final this year after last season’s near miss.

The Rack Pack raced out to a 4-1 first set lead and never looked back.

Our Lady provided some resistance in the shape of in form Darren Povey, but ultimately it was Tony Gear’s complete clearance that showed the difference in class and sealed their fate as Rack Pack ran out comfortable winners 8-3.

In the other semi final, first division champions Bellegrove Social Club were paired with Hotshots, one of the SLKPA’s powerhouses.

The Bellegrove were anything but overawed and got stuck into their opponents from the start.

Steve Pearce got the ball rolling, and Dan Foley and Matt French chipped in giving the Bellegrove a worthy lead 3-1.

Lee Bushell in reply was slowly building momentum for Hotshots, and with good support from his team mates the deficit was turned around before John Skuza had the Bellegrove whooping with delight after cutting in an amazing black.

The Hotshots' 6-4 lead was quickly wiped out by Foley and Pearce, but Bushell wouldn’t be denied his third win of the evening leaving it to Mark Ramsey to hold his nerve in a scrappy frame to see the Hotshots through 8-6 into the Team Knock Out final.

Thursday 17th March will see Rack Pack take on Hotshots for the Founders Cup in what ought to be a very even contest at Woolwich Riley's, and spectators are most welcome.
