A big week for the top teams in the South London & Kent Pool Alliance premier division, with the top four teams all playing each other.

Once again the Beehive started strongly, but fell away again in the latter stages of the match to lose narrowly to league leaders the Hotshots 8-7.

The Jolly Fenman outplayed the Pickwick, with Tony Halpin and Ritchie Mitchell in top form, they ran out 10-5 winners to close the gap in second place.

Coach & Horses won their first match of the season with a smart 11-4 home success against the George IV which tightens things up at the bottom.

An important win for the Catholic Club 12-3 against the Summerfield helps to maintain their heads just above the relegation zone, and keeps the Fox Under The Hill in trouble after they lost 9-6 to Riley’s, who themselves move away into mid table security.

Things are no different in the first division where it is becoming an interesting battle for supremacy.

King William IV have the edge over their rivals by one point after defeating Bellegrove Social Club 9-6 at home, whilst the Blue Anchor had a big win, handsomely overcoming the Angerstein Hotel 13-2.

The Kings Arms went one better with a whooping 14-1 win away at Gallies and with their game in hand may yet prove to be the team to catch come March.

Riley’s Royals won their second match on the spin and appear to adapting well to league pool.

This week they outwitted the Ship & Billet 9-6 and it was a similar score at the Eagle Tavern where Lee Green Constitutional Club were grateful for the lion share of the points.
