The two divisions in the South London & Kent Pool Alliance are being keenly contested, and are attracting the interest from a lot of the area’s better players. Hotshots remain on top in the premier division after their 10-5 win against last season’s champions the George IV.

Three other teams remain unbeaten and are all level in second spot.

The Pickwick put the Woolwich Catholic Club to the sword with a 14-1 thumping, whilst the Beehive and Jolly Fenman kept up their great starts to the season winning 11-4 and 10-5 respectively.

The two Alex’s, Winter and Thompson are providing strong resistance for the Beehive and again won all 3 frames.

At the rear of the table the Summerfield chased down the Fox Under The Hill despite Simon Evans’ battling qualities to kick start their season into life with an 8-7 victory. King William IV now top the table in the first division for the first time and look like they may stay there for a while after beating Riley’s Royals 13-2.

The Blue Anchor had a fine win at Lee Green Constitutional Club to move them into second place whilst last weeks leaders the Bellegrove Social Club went down 9-6 to an experienced Kings Arms side.

Gallies are another team quietly climbing the table and will fancy there chances of being involved in the promotion picture come March.

Gallies enjoyed an 11-4 win away at the Ship & Billet.

Perennial bottom dwellers the Eagle Tavern soared to a rare win at home to the Angerstein Hotel 9-6.

Onwards and upwards for the Eagle from now on.
