The final action of the South London & Kent Pool Alliance summer season saw the George IV B gain promotion to the Elite League next season, with a comprehensive 8-2 win in the Play Off decider, against the Railway Club Boys.

An early 3-0 lead for the George was pegged back to 3-2 after the first set with the Railway Boys beginning to get to grips with their opponents.

Kenyan international Naftali Ayieko, and Neil Kelly secured their second victories of the match to stretch away again for the George.

Finally Joe Kane provided the coup de grais with a wonderful first visit clearance to end the Railway Club Boys' hopes of going up this summer, although they can take comfort from putting up a good show for their first season in the SLKPA.

Whilst the George enjoy their success, thoughts will stretch to a challenging task next season in the Elite League.

New teams are always welcome into the SLKPA with matches played on Thursday evenings.
