THE Hotshots look odds on now to become Elite League champions in the South London & Kent Pool Alliance.

After beating title contenders George IV A last week and recording a 3-0 win against Our Lady of the Rosary this week, Hotshots are within touching distance of the crown.

With the George IV A unable to defeat Dean James and the Pickwick, their 2-1 set back leaves Hotshots three points clear at the top.

But it's all over for the Fox Under The Hill and the Summerfield.

Both teams lost 3-0 and as a result are relegated out from the top division of the summer league.

The Jolly Fenman's win at the former keeps their hopes of survival alive, whilst the Beehive remain out of the drop zone with an important win at the Summerfield.

The drama wasn't confined to the top division with essentially the title deciders in the second tier tables.

In Tier 2 East the Great Harry beat their rivals the Railway Club Boys 2-1, by the odd frame.

They now need two more wins to gain automatic promotion, whilst it appears the Railway Club Boys will have to be content with a play off spot, unless the Bellegrove Social Club can gatecrash the promotion picture.

A 2-1 home win against the Blue Anchor provides them with an outside chance.

The big game in Tier 2 West saw the Coach & Horses continue their unbeaten season with a 3-0 away win against their closest contenders the George IV B, opening a significant four point lead at the summit.

There were also wins for the Woolwich Catholic Club and the Kings Arms, and a notable first win of the season for the Mitre to lift them off the bottom.

The registration window is now open for any new teams wishing to join the SLKPA with matches played on Thursday evenings.
