Danny Rose is hoping an overseas club will put in an offer with Tottenham this summer after the defender accused manager Jose Mourinho of having favourites.

Rose is back at Spurs after spending the second half of last season on loan at Newcastle.

Rose has not featured for Spurs in pre-season and fallen to fourth in the pecking order behind teenager Dennis Cirkin, who started Saturday's friendly against Watford.

The 30-year-old is desperate for regular football this season to revive his Euro 2021 hopes after being left out of Gareth Southgate's latest England squad.

Spurs believe it will be tough to find a suitable Premier League buyer for Rose but he is open to a move overseas, having been keen to join Inter Milan in January.

Lazio have also been linked with a move for the former Leeds defender, who has a year remaining on his contract.

Amazon Prime's cameras captured an extraordinary meeting on the morning after Rose was left out of Mourinho's squad for the second game running in the 0-0 draw with Watford in January.

Rose tells the Spurs manager: "Other people have been s*** in training, s*** in games but play every game and are in the squad every game. It's not fair!"

"That's your perspective," replies Mourinho.

"It's facts," responds Rose.

"The whole changing room know it's facts! Not fair."
