Ava Donovan took first place in the penultimate set of Dodson & Horrell National Amateur Second Rounds on Saturday at Brook Farm, Romford.
The Waltham Cross rider was aiming to qualify for the amateur championships held at Aintree Equestrian Centre, Liverpool, next month.
Donovan partnered Greg Gill’s Quainton Shakira, a 10-year-old British bred mare that she has been competing since 2015.
They produced two perfect round and stopped the clock in 40.80 seconds to take the win on the 1.05m, 11 fence track.
