Harlow Town made it three wins in a row in all competitions after an entertaining 3-2 success at home to Chipstead on Saturday in the Isthmian League South Central Division.

Openers from Tayo Oyebola and Matt Rush were cancelled out by Kyen Nicholas and Joshua Gallagher, but Ozzy Adenji’s winner handed the points to the Hawks.

Oyebola opened the scoring from the edge of the box, capitalising on a poor Chipstead clearance by firing into the bottom corner on the turn.

The forward was then bundled over in the box just before half-time, and Rush stepped up to convert the penalty and double the lead.

Chipstead got back into the game almost straight away from the half-time restart when Nicholas rose highest to head in a free-kick.

The visitors were then level when the ball ricocheted into the net off Gallagher after an attack broke down in the area.

Shortly after though, Harlow restored their lead when Yannick Kissi’s cross was tucked in by Adenji, and that was how it stayed until the end.

Harlow return to action tomorrow night when they host Hertford Town in the Velocity Trophy.
