East London Runners had a large contingent at the Manchester Marathon on Sunday, with 20 runners starting and finishing the event.
Antonio Martin Romero set a new club record with a time of 2:27.26 while finishing 13th for the entire event.
There were also personal best times for Stuart Kelly in 2:46.58 (166th), Robert Rayworth in 3:19.28 (1991st) and Jacob Stevens in 3:24.36 (2390th).
Selina Vernal and Gemma Foxall also recorded their best marathon times with 3:32.21 (3322nd) and 3.36.49 (3664th) respectively, while that feat was also achieved by Maud Hodson, Lucy Barron, Robyn Turtle and Alexandra Rutishauser-Perera.
The club also had representation at the Rotterdam Marathon in the Netherlands through James Nichols, Ged Browne and Emma Fitzgibbon, while Jamie Xavier and Caroline McGirr were in action at the St Clare’s Hospice 10k.
At the Adidas City Run 1 Hour event, Craig Livermore racked up 8.9 miles while Maya Goodwin recorded 5.7 miles, Euan Brown was the only ELR competitor at the Pendle Fell Races, finishing 27th with 37.42, and Carolyn Edwards completed the QEOP Summer Series 10k in 53.23 (187th).
Finally, Mark Bolton crossed in 10th with a time of 27.59 at the Victoria Park Open 5m, while Billy Rayner and Peter Craik followed with 29.54 (31st) and 32.38 (47th) respectively.
