Tottenham Hotspur’s Premier League fixture against Arsenal in March will take place at Wembley Stadium, the club have confirmed.

This comes after the club said that remedial work on the safety system in their new ground at White Hart Lane are near completion, and they are now set to move into the final stages of testing the fire detection and alarm system, along with its integration with the other safety systems.

The testing of these systems is vital to Spurs gaining a safety certificate for their new stadium, which will allow them to open it for matches.

However, the club have confirmed that it will not be ready for the North London Derby against the Gunners and the game will take place on March 2 at their temporary Wembley home, with a kick off time of 12.30pm.

Chairman Daniel Levy told the club website: “Once again, thank you all for bearing with us and for the great support we have received from so many different quarters. These next few weeks are pivotal.”
