South London & Kent Pool Alliance Division Two leaders, Bexleyheath Working Mans Club have extended their unbeaten run to five games in style, with a, 15-0 whitewash over bottom team Lord Kitchener.

All five of Bexleyheath’s players, Sam Pearce, Steve Pearce, Steve Knight, Ben Worden and Dave Jandu scored three out out of three in an impressive display.

This result puts Bexleyheath eleven points clear of nearest rivals, New Eltham Social Club, who beat Happy Hustlers, 9-6 to go eleven points ahead of them.

Real Hustlers close the gap on New Eltham New Boys to just two points, after they won by the odd frame, 8-7.

This leaves them fourteen points ahead of Lord Kitchener at the bottom, but there are only four points between Real Hustlers in fifth and Happy Hustlers in third.

New Eltham Club hold onto their unbeaten record in the SLKPA first division and inflict a second successive defeat on Rose Inn in the process.

New Eltham had a great start, taking a, 4-1 lead but Rose Inn fought back and tied the match at four all.

The closeness continued, with the match going to seven all, sending it into a final frame decider between Rose Inn’s Captain, Neil Mundy and Shane Burnett and this went all the way to a black ball finish, which Burnett potted to give his side the, 8-7 triumph.

Although they are unbeaten, New Eltham Club are still nine points behind their opponents in third, but both Rose Inn and the league leaders, Crayford Arms have played one extra game.

Crayford are five points ahead of Rose Inn, after they beat Just Bellegrove, 9-6 this week.

For the second week running, Crayford took a, 3-0 lead that should have been four when they got two visits on the black and somehow didn’t pot it, with this week’s culprit being Captain, Paul Baker.

Despite this Crayford responded well, extending their lead to, 6-1 but Bellegrove battled hard, pulling it back to, 7-5 before Harry Lear secured victory.

Despite losing their unbeaten record this week, Academicals are just one point behind New Eltham Club, after they were beaten, 9-6 by CSC Sorry in Advance, who are now four points behind their opponents.

Fox & Hounds picked up their first win of the season, with an, 8-7 triumph over Eltham Terrace Rack Pack.

However, that score looked impossible when Rack Pack took a, 4-1 lead in the first set but Fox retaliated by whitewashing the second to take a, 6-4 lead into the final set.

Rack Pack won the first two frames of the last set to equalise, but Fox won the next two to complete the unexpected victory, before Rack Pack secured the final frame.

This victory lifts Fox off the bottom of the table to seventh, just one point behind their opponents.

Just like Division Two the middle of this table is very tight with eight points separating third from eighth.

Hotshots are slowly closing the gap on the SLKPA Premier Division leaders, Allstars, with it now being just four points, after a healthy win against Eltham Terrace Nuthouse.

The first nine frames went to Hotshots, with Danny Kelliher and Tony Wilson producing dishes in the first set, before Shane O’Reilly won the tenth frame to stop the rot for Nuthouse.

Hotshots went on to take the final set, 3-2 for a final score of, 12-3 with O’Reilly and Jon Syta winning the other two frames for Nuthouse.

Even though there was such a large margin of victory, Hotshots only had two unbeaten players, Kelliher and Andre Cox, both scoring a hat-trick.

This puts Hotshots on five out of five for the season, alongside Allstars, who kept up their run of winning every match with double figures, after beating, Pickwick, 10-5 this week.

Allstars did the damage in the second set with a, 5-0 whitewash but Pickwick did come back from this to win the final set.

Will Byrne was the only shining light for Pickwick, winning two of his three frames but Allstars’ Stacy Redman went one better, with three out of three, which included a frame where the cue ball miraculously jumped out of a corner pocket to leave the Pickwick feeling sick.

It appears to be a two-horse race for the title, as Hustlers are eleven points behind them in third, after they beat New Eltham this week.

Tony Stork was the star of the show, winning all three frames for Hustlers, in their, 11-4 victory.

Eltham Terrace Club A are only one point behind them, after a topsy-turvy match against Rugrats.

The away side took a, 3-0 lead but Terrace dug in and won the next four to go into the lead for the first time in the match however, Rugrats equalised before Terrace took the last two frames of the set, to take a, 6-4 lead into the final set.

Terrace won the first two frames of the final set to secure the victory before Mark Knevett produced a break and dish to make it, 8-5.

The last two frames were shared to give Terrace the, 9-6 triumph overall.

Rugrats Captain, Scott Shephard led from the front, with an unbeaten hat-trick and he was joined by Terrace’s Dan Foley, with team mate Ben McIntosh also unbeaten on two frame wins.

That leaves Rugrats rooted to the bottom without a league win and Eltham Terrace Rovers pulled away from them, after picking up their first win of the season against fellow strugglers, Sharks.

Rovers won all three sets in the, 9-6 triumph with Chris Hobbis performing a break and dish for his hat-trick.

Sharks are now three points ahead of Rugrats, with Rovers three ahead of Sharks and the next three teams are all tied on 33 points, one ahead of Rovers, so again this division looks to have a battle on it’s hands for survival.

Next week league action is on hold, as we turn our attention to the team knock out and the Founders Cup.
